I received my very first rejection for my picture book.....and it totally made my day.

That sounds weird and contradictory, but I imagine there are others out there who can relate to what I mean? Or am I an outlier with this one? (Wouldn't be the first time....)

Hair is so personal for everyone, and we all have our reasons for wearing it the way we do, be them religious, spiritual, practical, symbolic, aesthetic, etc. People get so hung up about what other people do with their own hair, which is so bizarre to me.

There were several reasons I cut it off initially back in December of 2025 (I did a brief post about it at the time), and now I am enjoying the change from the long hair, so opted to keep it buzzed.
