Overhead pic of the Tiger showing the nice coloured function keys that could be used as colour selectors in Teletext mode. The machine is bigger than it looks, not far short of the Tatung Einstein. Keyboard is VERY reminiscent of the Acorn Electron despite neither Tangerine or HH having any Acorn connections.

Back of the Tiger showing all the IO ports - centronics printer, cassette (rare for a disk-based machine), light pen (because every 80s machine had to have one), TTL RGB video, network in/out and GPIB. Serial number is seen as 20502, aka 'machine number 2.' Number 1 is in the Centre For Computing History in Cambridge.

Lid off! Now we can see the tray which holds the PSU with its lovely toroidal transformer (HH made audio products you say?). Space to the left of the tray is where the modem lived. In the centre of the PSU board is a large red coil which was later moved offboard to live on the side of the case because it was affecting the monitor picture.

Complete motherboard pic. In it you can see the 3x 32K RAM boards at the top which were discrete memory for the D7220 graphics processor. Along the bottom is the Z80 and GPIB components, the Z80 has its own ROMs and 64K of RAM. Down the right hand side is the 6809 IO part of the machine, again the 6809 has its own ROMs and RAM. Top right is the IO with a pair of 6522s for the comms.

Having worked in the industry, they use existing Licensed sites....... it's just easier. Does it state what type of reactors ? The new Small modular ones are more flexible in terms of placement.

Yeah. 😀👍 The computer game. Had to be played in a University lab . was very popular. Nolan Bushnell got the bug and started in game development after playing it. Ultimately it was the genesis for Atari and other vector games. He commercialised it 9 years later as Computer Space. It was popular.

There are multiple Yoga ranges. There are non-thinkpad Yoga's. I'd steer clear of those. The ultimate TP Yoga is the X1 Carbon model.

Very expandable into a full computer. I used to do my homework on mine with the SX32 expansion. Printer attached and everything.

Had a quick look at that ideapad... It's quite big... not an ultrabook. I stand by my statement about "if you can buy it on the high street" etc. but if you must have "new" and get a warranty and tolerate the build quality it should do a job. 👍 Good luck.

I don't know the ideapad range. What series is your 2011 one? I've had loads since 2007. At work our standard is T-series. I've got 5 laptops to return next week when my job ends. 2x T14's an old T450 an Elitebook and a Latitude 😄

Yeah, but you have to be careful. There's Yoga models which aren't Thinkpads. Those aren't as well made. ThinkPad is it's own division and (higher) grade of laptop. Like Elitebook (HP) and Latitude are for Dell. If you can't buy it in the "high street" that's a start. Avoid consumer grade.

Only Lenovos worth considering are the ThinkPad models. Enterprise class...NASA use them. Get someone else to do the depreciation. Lots of spares for them. They are bought in bulk in corporate and moved on after 3 or so years.... Cracking used deals to be had from specialist sellers.

I got a ThinkPad Yoga X13 for £230 on eBay. Intel 10th gen I5 with 16GB ram. Condition of it is amazing and it's lighting fast for CachyOS Linux. It replaces my ThinkPad Yoga 12 that lasted me 10 years. Both come with a powered Stylus too. Laptop is foldable too. 👍🤓
