Yes, any kind of milk will do. I’m particularly fond of Elmhurst 1921 cashew milk as there’s only two ingredients and it’s creamy and delicious…

As we approach the time where much of our country focuses on gratitude, you might enjoy this exercise. Find one thing for every letter of the alphabet to be grateful for and then we can compare our answers!

Don’t peel banana. Cut off top & bottom; discard, then slice into 2 inch chunks. Cut off top & bottom of vanilla bean; chop. Snap star anise flowers into 3 parts. First 5 items go in medium pan, bring to boil; cover, simmer 10 mins
Strain; add cashew milk.
Stir & enjoy

Abigail’s Sleeping Potion
(serves 2)

3 cups pure filtered water
1 banana
1 cinnamon stick
1 vanilla bean
2 star anise
1 cup cashew milk
