I definitely get that 😂 jp ososan fandom has kept me sane in that regard since moving back, though it comes at the cost of sounding like a weeb whenever I catch up with my normie friends irl LOL

no worries haha! there are lots of good resources online these days, but I think if you have the patience for it working through some textbooks will def give you a solid baseline re: stuff like grammar 🙏 and feel free to hit me up if you ever want help or practice! it’s good review for me too 🤣

OH they also indicate whether to use を or が/は - intransitive verbs cannot have a direct object so you should (generally, i think there are some outliers) use the latter two, since を is for interacting directly
i.e) 電気を消す vs. 電気が消える

jisho and imiwa (if you use those dictionaries) will note which it is if you look a verb up. I still struggle with it sometimes haha
