02.03.2026 01:33 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Prague astronomical clock as seen in VTM Redemption during the day. A little anachronistic, as this section of the game is set in 1194, while the clock wasn't built until 200 years later in 1410.
The Prague astronomical clock seen in the modern nights in the Old Prague town square in VTM Bloodhunt. The lower dial is illuminated by a nearby street light, while the more famous upper dial is mostly in darkness.
A real-world photograph of the Prague astronomical clock.
The d20 spinner die based on the Prague clock. Two other spinner dice based on the Lyon Cathedral Astronomical Clock and the Padua Astronomical Clock are visible off to the right and top of the image.
Not a paid promotion, I just stumbled across this:
If you're a gamer and you're nostalgic for Prague and its astronomic clock, as seen in both 2000's VTM Redemption and 2022's VTM Bloodhunt, a d20 spinner die based on it is currently on Kickstarter:

Unfortunately Troika was given an early incomplete version of Source to work with, so they had to:
A) figure out how it works, and
B) finish off the missing parts themselves.

Did you know? Needing to crouch before getting to Gary's chamber was intentional design.

A segment from Time of Thin Blood, page 21, discussing the phenomenon of clairvoyance among thin-bloods by Dr. Douglas Netchurch.
Many players assume that Rosa must be a Malkavian due to her precognition, but one of the defining traits of the thin-bloods is a general lack of clan identifiers.
Clairvoyance seems to be a common phenomenon among thin-bloods, regardless of clan of origin.
Generally it's recommended not to do Nosferatu or Malkavian on a first playthrough, but otherwise go nuts!

Yes and no.
Mythical creatures like dragons, manticores, cockatrixes, etc. -- collectively called Bygones -- used to be around, but they lived on magic. Magic was changing and becoming harder to access in the Renaissance, so Bygones left Earth for an otherworld called the Umbra.

Glad you enjoyed yourself!
You noticed the difficulty spike -- since dev time was cut short, there's a "combat funnel" from Chinatown onwards. Fewer stealth/seduction/persuasion/hacking solutions, more straight combat.
The WoD turns 35 this year, so there's a lot of lore. Feel free to ask!
