Thanks so much to @artybel.bsky.social for the recommendation of the Epson Workforce printer as a cheaper alternative for pigment ink printing, for anyone else out there who wants to try printing out their lineart onto art paper for painting! :D

A photo of someone wearing the hat with the hands buttoned together under their chin.
I redid this a bunch of times and in the process, accidentally learned Tunisian crochet, and I'm very very proud of it!

the same hat but from the side so you can see the external gill fronds.
it's been successfully gifted so i can now share this, my most ambitious crochet project yet! an axolotl hat for my friends' kid - though my friend put it on before her kid got it earlier and from her expression i have a hunch that this might be a shared hat.

Once again, walking away from a problem, ignoring it for the evening, and sleeping on it, produces a simple and elegant answer in the morning.
Sleeping is the one and only true productivity app.
bored, probably, spent too long sleeping

A long haired girl, sitting at a cluttered art table in a cabin, is dreamily thinking of another girl. They're both camp councilors, and the other girl is the swim instructor.
Getting a summer job as a camp councillor is a great way to make money, expand your horizons and meet all sorts of exciting, new people...

For years, Graceware has gotten away with abusing the DMCA because they've targeted large platforms that comply quickly with takedowns, or individuals without the resources to push back.
Then they fucked with us, a non-profit organization with a special interest and an expert legal team. Whoops!
Tomorrow! I have an essay in it. Well, it's sort of an essay. It's technically an essay. It's an essay I wrote like a poem because I get to be like that if I want to be like that because writing for games is fun and writing about games is also fun! bsky.app/profile/inkl...

QRP with your skull art.
I've drawn many a skull in my time but here's a coupe I like
A new small joy I'm indulging in once in a while; walking down to my local 2nd hand bookstore and picking up a book of poetry by an author I don't know.
So many of these books are funded by the Canadian Council for the Arts.
I really hope we continue funding passion.

They look at each other longingly through the glass. The Title of the zine is: So you've seen The Shape of Water...A beginner's guide to monster kissing movies
screenshot from Tsui Hark's Green Snake. Two women in are sitting very close to each other in the grass, surrounded by huge flowers. One, in a pink dress, looks down, deep in thought. The other, in a teal dress, looks at her sister in concern
A screenshot from Agnieszka Smoczynska's The Lure. Three mermaids are snuggled together on a dingy grey bed beneath a disco ball (it's a weird movie). The one in the middle wears a dramatic red wig, and holds the other, younger mermaids protectively. The younger ones are suckling from the older one's breasts.
Screenshot from Jean Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast. Belle, a beautiful young woman, looks in a mirror, listening intently as the cat-like beast, in flamboyant dress and cape, holds up a key and gives her instructions on how to return to her family.
In a fit of procrastination, I did a new copy edit on this zine from last year; I forgot to share it for Valentine's Day, but if you're still looking for love, you can download my Beginner's Guide to Monster Kissing movies for PWYC on Gumroad! allisonotoole.gumroad.com/l/monster-ki...
