The flag will be touring Australian cities in the next few weeks.

Several hundred volunteers carried the flag on to the lawn to unroll it. Plenty of vyshyvanka worn, floral decorations and blue and yellow badges and ribbons seen. A pair of baboussias in the crowd spontaneously sang folk songs as the flag was unfurled.

Led by special guests, a Lt Colonel from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the head of Odessa's civil defence.

The flag measured about 40x150m. All this got shown on national television.
