Prepping for upcoming episodes on the unflimed scripts, left abandoned by the cancellation, adapting them for audio in the style of Big Finish's Doctor Who Lost Stories line would be the best thing for them. If we were a professional show with a budget, and without day jobs, we'd do it ourselves,

They did not! The three novels were commissioned as part of the launch window multi-media push, but were not continued afterward. The last was published March 1994, still based on the O'Bannon show bible and premiere script, rather than the versions that went to film.
