Done with 2 days to spare before the #UtahArtsFestival the 19-22 in SLC. I’ll be making more parasols the entire time, crocheting, blocking, & attaching to frames.

The #yarn🧶 on this 48” parasol is 100% cotton #HobbiSultan although I did customize it by replacing blue with pink.

My husband and I are modeling our Buggiflooer beanies that I knit. They were the Shetland Wool Week beanies a few years back. I swatched so many colour combinations before knitting these two hats! The beanie has a corrugated ribbing, and a lovely flower motif around the head and crown of the hat. My husband’s is knit in a greyish background with blues, greens and an orange accent. Mine is knit in reds, pinks and oranges, with zig zags in green. My husband is wearing white shirt. I am wearing teal sweatshirt with violet writing that says CHALET.

I am modeling my Buggiflooer beanie while wearing a grey sweatshirt with yellow lettering. My sweatshirt reads YARNIVORE. My boat has floral motifs. It has a cream background and motifs are knit in reds, pinks and oranges, with green accents.

It’s #ShowMeYourKnits time 😊 And colourwork is this week’s theme. These days, colourwork is my favourite kind of project (though I love cables too, and texture, and now lace too!). I’ve shared a lot of photos of my colourwork already I think. I may even have shared these hats already too 🙃

A work in progress jumper on a vintage wooden coat hanger, hangs on a hook on a 1920s cream door which has large ripple glass panels. The jumper, so far, only consists of a fairisle patterned yoke in shades of green, orange, purple, burgundy, cerise and white on a sky blue background. Various stitch markers, needle points and stoppers can be seen along the lower edge.

I’ve just split for the sleeves on my latest WIP, which just happens to fit the #colourwork theme for this week’s #showmeyourknits It’s a Susan Crawford version of a 40s pattern made using primarily 1960s #vintageyarn #knitsky 🧶
