The ERA – NC alliance is a group of organizations in North Carolina that agree ratification of the ERA will improve women’s lives in North Carolina and the US. Our goal is to achieve true equality under the law for both men and women in our country.
Another notable North Carolina woman from the mountains around Asheville. She ran for office before women could vote and we’re still considered property of their husbands or fathers. #womenshistorymonth

30 years after world leaders adopted a blueprint to achieve gender equality, a new UN report says women’s & girls rights are under attack. “Instead of mainstreaming equal rights, we’re seeing the main streaming of misogyny.” Human rights include the rights to reproductive health.

Women’s rights are human rights and human rights are women’s rights. These words said by Hillary Clinton echo what fueled the civil rights battles in the 60s. Ms Simone used her art & voice to fight for those rights! Never forget how far we’ve come & how far we still must go! #womenshistory2025
