Joey's drumkit has been completely overhauled, and we have been tracking the left-panned drums to The Primordial Echo. We expect that to be complete in the next week or two, after which we will be setting up Jake's drums for the right-panned kit.

August moves into September, and we labor. Joey, Jake and Joe all started new jobs, and new environments force new growth and bring new perspectives.

This month we expect to track all of Joey's drums, and then shift to Jake's, while I work separately on finishing guitar and bass tracks for the first half.
I am also crossing my fingers for my Dunable Ultimate Custom 7 string to arrive in time to start tracking guitars on the second half.

This year has been transitional in so many ways; Joe and Jake with new jobs and Joey with a new house. The constant drumbeat of learning how to record an album about the stages of life while we all personally transition has given me a deeper appreciation for the work we are trying to do.

July turns into August.
I suspect we are about 30% complete on tracking. The vast majority of guitar and bass on the first half of the album are complete, and we are now starting Joey's drums.

Once that completes, we will decided where to start with Jake's drums. I am crossing my fingers that my Dunable 7-string will arrive in time to start laying down the tracks of the back half of the album.

June moves into July.

We finished mapping out the tempos of The Primordial Echo and laid down all of the bass and rhythm guitar tracks. We will be setting up Joey's drum kit in the studio to lay down the first recorded drum track on the album. #doommetal

Clover finished the shadow boxes we are using for the album art. Posted are the boxes and our current draft of the art itself. No AI was used to make this art, and the overall cost was very minimal. It took time and creativity, and best of all, it will hang on our wall for eternity. #doommetal

We are on the hunt for a graphic artist to help create a short graphic novel as a companion to our next album. We have a synopsis fleshed out. If you are interested in this project, please reach out.

April turns to May.

A season of renewal amidst a continuing decline. A temporary reprieve from a relentless global death.
Guitar tracking on Icarus is nearly complete. Tedious but results show the work is paying off. This paves the way for working on the The Primordial Echo.

The shadow boxes for the album art are 60% completed.

The work continues.

Once Icarus completes, we will move tracking The Primordial Echo, a 3 minute cacophony of polyrhythms that kicks off the album. Then we shall proceed to Side B.

We want this portion to sound organic and huge, complementing the layers we have already put down. I will be working the rhythm while Joey polishes up his lead to build the grand crescendo to end Side A.

March moves into April. We have configured the studio space again, to further assist in tracking guitars. Icarus has several layers laid down, with more happening tonight. This time, instead of re-amped DIs, we are live tracking piles of loud amps.

Reamping DIs to Seeds of Decay. Starting with the clean guitars. Today we tracked Theophany and Aporia. Next is Icarus. #doommetal

Clover has also been helping to create the shadow boxes that will be used as the main visual art for the album.

Momentum gathers like hydrogen atoms drawn to create suns.

This is subject to change of course, as we still work to get to know our creation. Side A has been 80% mapped out, and DIs have been completed for 100% of the clean guitar parts, and a few of the dirty guitar parts. Next is to finish the mapping and start re-amping and layering Side A.
