and like ??? it's a weird feeling because I know these people have caused me trauma and attachment issues and just generally fucked me up in the head. but I can tell they're trying, especially now, and I don't know how to reconcile those two things.

anyways. I'm very grateful for them right now. ❤️

(bc the ED was an overreaction, I just had strep but I just couldn't get home). and then today my stepdad drove 45 minutes out of his way to pickup sore throat friendly foods for me (since I just moved recently and haven't fully stocked my pantry yet) and drop them off so I didn't have to.

you know what's crazy? I think my parents are better parents now that I'm an adult. my coworker sent me to the ED yesterday bc I was too dizzy to drive home from work, and when I called my mom she told me she would've picked me up even though it was 2:30 in the morning and 45 minutes away

especially for someone who grew up with very conservative parents who hate swearing and explicit content, I can actually listen to taylor songs around them and it's not entirely obvious the original version is explicit. other artists there's like an obvious pause where it's censored and it's uglyyy

one of many things I admire about taylor is that the clean versions of her songs are not just censored versions of the explicit ones. she actually rewrites the lyrics so they make sense but w/o the explicit content. it makes them actually pleasant to listen to and not obvious that they're censored.
