I actually... love this for her?
02.03.2026 03:37 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Thank you, Jason! And I agreeβIvlev was excellent in a role that, quite intentionally I think, both asked a lot of her and didn't give her many details to go on about her character.
02.03.2026 18:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Definitely! And I think the show has really done the work to develop both of them. You don't fundamentally change the first time something fucked up happens to you, maybe. But as your experiences pile up, how could you not?
02.03.2026 15:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It would've been so boring if they just made her a sociopath
02.03.2026 04:39 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0π
01.03.2026 16:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Weβll see if anyone sticks around long enough to get there, I guess.
28.02.2026 20:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also: There *has* to be an Eimy episode coming, right?
28.02.2026 19:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Either way, entirely appropriate that the show's structure would also resemble an uneven love triangle where someone ends up dead.
28.02.2026 19:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I felt pretty similarly. Also wish that one of the two wolves didn't have to be the same murder-mystery wolf every other show has.
28.02.2026 19:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0People should really consider this as an alternative to getting really into *being* a tool.
28.02.2026 19:14 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This was the best month for new TV comedies in a while. Don't sleep on PBS's Black and Jewish America doc, either, which navigates some very tricky topics with honesty and respect.
27.02.2026 22:01 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0yesterday Conde's biggest cover story of 2025 (I think it's safe to say) got nominated for an ASME: a cover story about a trans woman, produced by a team that i helped guide as a trans person. and in the 11 months since it came out, they got rid of almost all of us
27.02.2026 17:47 β π 377 π 81 π¬ 3 π 0Yeah, in this case the show is taking some justified artistic license. The season is set on the 4th of July. There's a comment on how few on-call people are available on holidays. I think ultimately the only way to do this storyline was to make a key character a SANE and have her spend the time
27.02.2026 17:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I get why that would be jarring!
27.02.2026 17:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And to be clear, I do think shows should be held accountable for accuracy when they're clearly making a point of getting things right. But when you look at the storyline holistically, it inarguably leaves viewers who have not been through or witnessed a rape exam a better idea of the experience.
27.02.2026 17:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That all makes sense. FWIW, I know the patient doesn't go far, and certainly doesn't leave the ER, and that she does have a nurse (not the examiner) accompanying her. We do see what a strain on the system it is to have the 1 SANE nurse confined to a room for an extended period in a busy hospital.
27.02.2026 17:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Deliriously happy 4 those 2
27.02.2026 17:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I appreciate that work and that knowledge, and believe me, these details are important to me, too. If the show did get something wrong, I want people to know about it, which is why I hope someone who can say for sure will weigh in.
27.02.2026 17:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The US has a massive SANE nurse shortage. ~25% of hospitals have at least a part-time SANE nurse. Rural and tribal communities are horribly underserved. Whole regions of Alaska (which has the highest reported rape rate in the US) have no SANE nurses. Only about 20 schools offer SANE education.
27.02.2026 16:58 β π 31 π 11 π¬ 1 π 0Would love to hear someone weigh in on this who knows the law and watched the episode. What I do know is that a lot of experts contributed to the storyline, as detailed in this article: www.latimes.com/entertainmen...
27.02.2026 17:01 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0π
27.02.2026 16:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The big knock on The Pitt is that it's competency/kindness porn, but the show really deserves credit for acknowledging that those things can only go so far in a broken system.
27.02.2026 16:54 β π 42 π 1 π¬ 1 π 1Thank you! It really was so smart of the writers to avoid any remarkable case details and, without minimizing her suffering, making the patient essentially any person who walks into an ER for a sexual assault exam.
27.02.2026 16:50 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not only do I remember, but I will never forget
27.02.2026 16:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One thing I appreciate about The Pitt is its thoughtfulness in using the real-time format to reframe the tropes of the medical drama. The past two episodes' painstaking account of a sexual assault exam is a remarkable example.
27.02.2026 16:29 β π 229 π 42 π¬ 3 π 11I TORE through this a couple weeks ago. True to its title, itβs a lot smarter than it looks.
27.02.2026 03:59 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I do think the person who played the best Traitors game wonβ¦ but that isnβt saying much this season
27.02.2026 03:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So many TV shows right now, even the ones with huge budgets, look like they were released like 90% finished
