Am I going to get tomato'd if I say FE7?

I think it's a better color execution than what they were going for in Houses. I like the darker matte armor of the portrait here and the pop of green is better than the shock of red with the Houses' fuzzy collar.

Hair's wack though. Lorenz needs to introduce Faerghus to his timeskip barber.

Engage heights are so far from canon it's hilarious. They aren't even consistent for characters that exist within the same game.

Take them as stylistic choices, sure, but not as a proper reflection of the character design.

When I first bought Tri, I booted up the game, accidentally went to the City, and just died of heatstroke.

We all start somewhere. The learning and mastery is the fun. I think that's part of the reason I enjoyed World so much--the new paradigm threw me off my game and I had to relearn things.

Mmm! Since you were hoping for a society without inherent societal strife or corruption, the tension in your setting would instead come from the player/reader's disconnect and unfamiliarity with a society of completely different cultural norms.

I think that's potentially sufficiently substantial!

Everyone forgets what it was like to be new and unknowledgeable. MonHun skill is pretty transferrable, and the games don't just escalate in initial difficulty to accommodate long time players.

And yeah, if you want a challenge, pick up an unfamiliar weapon and shitty armor. It'll humble you.

I mean, while this is more relevant to your previous post, a functionally mono-sex culture without obligatory rot and corruption for the sake of it would make for interesting exploration in a fantasy setting.

The inherent disconnects from our own culture would be interesting jumping off points.

tl;dr: Neither the FE13 or FEW versions of the Sol Katti mesh properly w. Elibe weapon stylizations or pair with the Mani Katti, as both just reflect design tenets of Chon'sin and Hoshidan weaponry.

As such, I don't consider us to have a proper Elibe design for the weapon and we may never get one.

Why do I care so much about the design tenets of the single worst, most irrelevant weapon in the entire Fire Emblem series?

At this point, half of the GBAFE's signature endgame weapons have been redesigned since being reintroduced to FEH.

Both the Renais Twins' weapons and the Sol Katti now have a different design than the FEH versions in their most recent appearances.

Maybe lance lords are just assigned cats at birth, idk

Kinda cool that Ephraim's posed like his official FE8 art here, albeit I'm not sure where the Tiger connection stems from.

Between Engage and Shadows, I think it's safe to say that this design for Siegmund is what IntSys is sticking with as canon moving forward.

Yup. I think it works well as a standalone title since it has no narrative connective tissue to the numbered XBC games. High value proposition in terms of gameplay and customizability, probably lesser in the story category compared to the highest highs of numbered XBC.

Kaizo Ironmon's a bit too slot machine-esque for a lot of people, given that a viable run is largely chance.
IMO, I'd go the Hardcore Nuzlockes w. QoL route. Vanilla game, difficulty hack, or topical hack (Too Many Types 2).

Genuinely a lot of sponsors that are operating at a mid-level requirement of viewership or numbers are themselves smaller endeavors. They're often new or more casual with creator outreach.

Alternatively, they're just scams praying on the uninitiated that don't yet know what to be careful about. 🤷
