My neighbor ordered some item for his wife from a discount site. Normal price was like $1500, he got it for $500. It showed up on two pallets, not assembled at all, and as he put it, “Made from Chinesium.” But he managed to put it together and so far it’s miraculously still working

My father in law is a Fox addict and former engineer at an electric utility. When we started replacing our light bulbs with CFLs he went off on how much mercury is in them. I pointed out that there's plenty of it in the coal we burn more of to light regular bulbs and he shut up
