I well understand that Roe was the best and only compromise possible in the complicated ethics of the maternofetal relationship. It was a just and equitable solution that was massively helpful and it’s dismantling by this court was a shameful, step back for women and the entirety of our culture.

Please forgive me if it sounded like that but I just felt the need to defend both my research and my clinical colleagues from what sounded like a misguided understanding of the distinction between evil legislators and well-meaning physicians and scientists. We’re ALL suffering under Trump…
