I don’t think the US will be attacked militarily, but I think there’s definitely an escalated risk of sleeper cells, lone wolf attacks, etc. in the coming weeks.

I was glad to see that the government issued multiple announcements on that possibility today.

Essentially they’re hoping the Iranian people will rise up and push what’s left of the regime out of power and that someone sympathetic to the West will take over.

Lot of hopes and dreams, not a whole lot of actual strategy to make it happen from what I’ve seen.

I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Iran yet. They have an extensive succession plan, their military has standing strike orders in the case of decapitation strikes, etc.

Now that they’ve announced the Supreme Leader’s death, I would expect a big retaliation, or at least an attempt at one.
