Prior to the US coup, Hawaii had the world's highest literacy rate (98%), Universal Healthcare, electric lights before the white house, mass affordable transit, industrialization, virtually no homelessness, full racial equality. Post-coup, all these statistics reversed.

Europeans were outdone by Hawaiians in an 1869 Paris exposition in scholarly and literary accomplishment, forcing them to admit that their hoarding of high-quality education for their oligarchic 1% meant the brain power of their masses was wasted. The West was forced to catch up.

As the US defunds education while 54% of adults read below a 7th grade level, remember capitalists have never sought an educated populace, except when out-competed. We Hawaiians were the first to implement mass public education, and universal healthcare for example.
