Current ocean warmth 20X more likely because of #climatechange.
The beach was packed. On October 5th. In New England.
ICE has erected a gate to keep protesters out. They are blocking a public street, despite the Broadview Fire Department ordering ICE to tear it down.
Join us at 1930 Beach Street. 7-9 AM. Tell Broadview to tear this fence down.
Big thanks to @climatechris.bsky.social and @channingdutton.bsky.social for inviting me on the podcast β to talk about the importance of data and evidence in fixing the horrors of the Trump regime and why I'm running for Congress (VA-01).
That also means climate.

19.09.2025 04:04 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1Kicked off filming for a new documentary, not just my story, but the fight against climate disinformation.
While in Iowa: keynoted a packed IEC conference + joined Urbandale Libraryβs biggest book club yet. The energy was electric - people were excited, engaged, ready. π

When I worked at Sinclair, they forced stations to air βmust runβ segments from Boris Epshteyn. They looked like news but were actually dangerous right-wing propaganda. #JimmyKimmel

Appeasement, not accountability.
When I reported on climate change, MAGA outrage poured in. My stationβs answer? Stop telling the truth.
Free speech in theory. Blacklists in practice. I left before they could silence me.
Iβll probably never work in TV again for saying this, but the truth matters more:
Brian Roberts, Mike Cavanagh & Mark Lazarus are cowards.
The media is cowering to a small, alt-right, vocal minority.
Thatβs not βunity.β Thatβs surrender.
And itβs destroying journalism.
MAGA got mad when I reported on climate change - my station told me to stop.
They scream free speech but blacklist those who simply speak the truth. Terry Moran, #MatthewDowd, and others all paid the price.
I left rather than be silenced. Weβre in dangerous times when truth bows to MAGA.
I wrote my own Charlie Kirk obituary, and about valuing truth over manners: www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Once again a significant drought beginning to develop here in S. NE. Our new groundwater storage deficit analysis shows that 5 out of the last 9 yrs in a drought state. Interestingly switching from record wet to very dry (see 18, 21, 23) and to some extent last spring. @climatechris.bsky.social

#HurricaneKatrina hit 20 years ago. #Climatechange added fuel to the storm. The storm also highlighted racist practices in disaster response and recovery.

Did you know the Bush administration cut FEMA before Katrina?
I spoke with Ivor van Heerden, former deputy director of the Louisiana Hurricane Center, about his memories from 20 years agoβand his warning about todayβs new NOAA and FEMA cuts.

Did you know the frequency of dust storms have increased by 240% since the 1990s? Similar to what we saw at #burningman2025 & the #phoenix haboob.
#Climatechange is helping prolong and intensify drought season.
As Erin heads out to sea, a new disturbance (90L) appears poised to develop in its wake and threaten Bermuda on Monday. The latest from @bhensonweather.bsky.social and I;

10β of sea level rise over the last ~80 years helps surf push farther inland.
#HurricaneErin was hundreds of miles offshore, but still packed a punch.
#ClimateChange is increasing the frequency of these nuisance floodsβ¦ Cumulatively theyβre going to cost us a lot.
#HurricaneErin βs sprint to Cat 5 shows how #climatechange is supercharging storms. Even in Wisconsin, weβre not insulated - floods, storms & heat are hitting harder. I break it down in my latest Substack...open to everyone, because this issue is too important:
open.substack.com/pub/chrisglo...
Hundreds of miles away - #HurricaneErin causing coastal flooding in Westport, MA.
This area has seen 10β of sea level rise since 1950. That helps push waves farther inland.
Fact checking Lucy Biggers on #climatechange:
More hurricane because of climate change? Perhaps not.
Stronger storms that intensify at a faster pace? Yes.
Add in rising sea level and heavier rainfall as well - stakes are higher!
#HurricaneErin was supercharged by climate change. New @climatecentral.org study found Erinβs peak winds were 9mph stronger because of #climatechange. Wind damage scales exponentially. That means even a small rise and wind speed unleash is disproportionally greater destruction.

The article said it: βMore drought and extreme heat, forest fires are starting earlier in the year.β
But it never used the words #climatechange.
Attribution studies show January fires are now 35% more likely in our warmed world. Thatβs the missing connection.
