Hey thanks! Really hard to not compare my 10th mini painted to stuff on social media from folks who have painted hundreds, but I think they're pretty decent for where I'm at.

Enjoy Clair Obscur. I'm into Act 2 and have absolutely adored the game.

I have no idea what to post here so have a couple of warhammers I've worked on to try to get better at painting.

Maybe they're okay maybe they aren't, I dunno. But I made em so that's cool.

Thanks man! It's a lot of "okay the tutorial says to do X" and just trusting the process. The challenge of trying to make fabrics look dynamic has been a fun one to tackle.

I've been lazy and haven't put together my setup in our spare room. Really should do that because having a good place to do a hobby is pretty important to driving motivation to doing that hobby.

Like I just started minis painting and it's hard to not compare my second/third mini vs folks on Insta posting the most clean, gorgeous work around that is probably thier 300th mini.

But I like sitting down, painting some lil guys, relaxing to a podcast, and seeing my own work improve.

It's not too late to start something, and it's okay to be bad at it if you like doing it.

You're not going to be as good as the person who has done that thing their entire life and that's okay.

Comparison is the thief of joy so just enjoy doing things for the sake of doing it.

2025 is my himbo gym friend year. I want to be that guy who has motivation for friends wanting to make a change when times are tough. Or to yell positive things at you because you ARE doing hard work even if you convince yourself otherwise.
