Man, shout-out to my friend who first tried to convince me to play BlazBlue. He showed me Terumi and Hazama and I went, "Eeeehhh."

Fast forward to now and uh... yeah. LMAO

I did some neat stuff and not only is the hazama chibi ready for distribution (I'll put it into NOL and the hazcord soon), I've made it dead drop simple for me to recolor it to a custom palette! Yippee!

Update on this:

Just realized I might not have to handle color in illustrator at all. I just make the components in illustrator, export them all into layers and handle colors in a program like photoshop. Would mean I have to re-do the colors on every doll update, but that should be easy...

Three chibis in a line of Hazama from Blazblue Central Fiction. The far left one is granulated and pixelated from being cut out of a low-resolution image. The middle one is the sprite redrawn and thus sharp and clean. The one on the far right is the same as the middle but re-colored in a custom palette.

Y'all remember what I did with the terumi chibis? I'm trying to do something similar with hazama's chibis now, but testing doing it in Illustrator.

Much easier to do the drawing itself, exponentially more annoying to recolor. I need to see if I can "index" colors in Illustrator...
