Seeing a lot of subreddits banning x posts from their subreddit.

It's a good step. I remember moving from Digg to Reddit, and it's such a different world from then.

I find the 'bird' app isn't anything like it used to be, anyway 🙄

In November I stopped posting on Twitter (X), but I did not delete my account (I was still getting messages there from friends and others).

Yes, X provides a larger audience, and it's hard to let that go. But I will not be complicit.

Not only do the adult ladybugs/ladybirds devour aphids, but their larvae do, too! I remember finding one on the ground behind my late parents' house and I wasn't sure what it was. Upon noticing the coloured spots on the sides of its abdomen, I suddenly realised what it was!

Hey friends who are new on this site: if you are bored and your timeline is kinda empty, go into feeds and look up whatever you're into. There's probably a feed about it, where all the posts on a topic are gathered.

There's a feed called "OnlyPosts" which is just posts from people you follow, no re-posts, it's a lot quieter if you're into that

Did you know if you pin a feed and click on it then close the app BlueSky will default back to that feed when you reopen it? This is a great way to get your scrolling fix and avoid political news. Just pin that Birds feed. You know you want to. bsky.app/profile/did:...

Just deleted all Amazon apps off my phone today. Canceled Prime membership. Deleted all Meta apps as well. And TikTok. Got rid of twittler long ago. Anything else I should know about? I’m cleaning house of all this crap. To hell with tech bros.

Strongly, STRONGLY recommend the “hide post for me” feature if you keep getting a post you seriously don’t want to see in your feed. Blessed peace.

Just as an FYI deleting social accounts on the Face App or the Bird App for example is incredibly freeing. If you previously deactivated them, just log in really quick and select delete. Most take 30 days to die.
Do not reward the creeps with your attention or your data.
