I remember countless nights going from the rio to the trailhead, although those memories are a little blurry. :) We’ve almost certainly sat down the bar from each other. Definitely a fun town.

That’s awesome! I guided on the Poudre from 94 to 99, I’m sure we crossed paths at some point. I do miss Rio margs.

It sucks that it’s so hard to get Yampa and Gates permits. I don’t know what the answer is, you want it to stay remote but more folks should get a shot.

Hey Ivan, I started on the Poudre in’94. Guided around the west and a bit internationally. I still come out west each summer to guide a handful of trips, the last 5 years on the Yampa and through Gates of Lodore.

Definitely enjoying my new adventure down here. Lots of great kayaking in the swamp.

That guy is a disgrace! Living down here in Louisiana now I’ve learned that his hokey accent is completely fake, didn’t have it when he went to Oxford. He just created it for the people he wants to attract. Of course his policies are far worse than his accent.

On similar lines, I’ve thought about the similarities with the people behind Bush Jr. I hated some of what he did but attributed it more to Cheney and gang. I’m not as optimistic though about now. Yes trump is being manipulated and going downhill not fast enough to stop elon/putin/etc

I hope it’s ok to borrow this. Such a simple and succinct meme that captures a much deeper truth, plus it should piss them off. :)
