Religion doesn't teach morality. It teaches obedience.

True morality is about doing the right thing because it's right-not because you fear hell or want heaven.

Religious rituals feel powerful because they’re designed to. Group chanting, music, fasting, and prayer trigger emotional highs—but emotional intensity doesn’t equal truth. It’s psychology, not divinity.

Paul’s Gentile audience would have been familiar with stories of gods who:
-Were born of virgins
-Died and rose again
-Promised salvation and eternal life

Paul borrowed from these myths to make his version of Jesus sound credible—a calculated move to convert non-Jews.

What They Say:
“Jesus is coming back soon to rapture his church so we can spend eternity with him.”

What We Hear:
“One day, I’m just going to disappear like magic and spend eternity with my imaginary friend.”

What They Say:
“Science can’t explain everything.”

What We Hear:
“Because we don’t know everything yet, it must mean my ancient mythology is true.”

What They Say:
“God moves in mysterious ways.”

What We Hear:
“When I can’t explain it, I’ll just call it divine mystery and stop thinking about it.”

Reagan’s alliance with the Moral Majority transformed evangelical Christianity into a political force, embedding religious doctrine into public policy and undermining the secular vision of the Founders.

If Jesus knew in advance who would be damned no matter what, then his sacrifice was hardly a rescue mission. It’s more like a piece of theater where the ending—eternal suffering for many—was never in doubt.

I’d love to hear an explanation for why prayer doesn’t empty hospitals or heal amputees. Science seems to have far more consistent results when it comes to saving lives.

“Kill all the women and children. Keep the virgin girls for yourselves.” (Numbers 31)

The original motto of the United States wasn’t “In God We Trust.” It was E Pluribus Unum—“Out of Many, One”—emphasizing unity, not religion. Adding “In God We Trust” in 1956 shifted focus away from the secular values the founders intended.

The phrase “under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954, nearly 60 years after it was written. This wasn’t a founding principle—it was a political move to align America with religious nationalism during the Cold War.

Many assume “In God We Trust” has always been part of America’s identity, but it was only added to U.S. currency in 1956 during the Cold War. It wasn’t about faith—it was about propaganda against “godless” communism.

The religious obsession with female virginity isn’t about purity—it’s about ownership. Women’s worth cannot and should not be tied to the condition of their bodies.

Rules that demand women dress modestly to avoid “tempting” men reveal more about male insecurity than moral virtue. Shouldn’t the burden of self-control rest on those who claim to be morally superior?

If morality is determined by religion, why does it so often align with the oppression of women? Progress has come from questioning dogma, not obeying it.

Religious dogma opposing contraception and abortion doesn’t protect life—it controls it. Denying women autonomy over their bodies is less about morality and more about maintaining power.

Religions have always treated women as divine afterthoughts: silent in the temple, obedient in the home, and guilty by default. This is not morality—it’s misogyny on a pedestal.

The claim that America was built on “Christian values” falls apart under scrutiny. With over 45,000 Christian denominations worldwide, all interpreting the Bible differently, which version of Christianity are we supposed to credit?

The idea that the Earth is only 6,000 years old collapses under the weight of science. Radiometric dating and the light from distant stars tell a story of billions of years—a timeline the Bible never imagined.

The resurrection wasn’t a new concept when Paul preached it. Long before Jesus, myths told of Osiris rising, Dionysus conquering death, and Mithras defeating darkness. Paul didn’t invent the idea; he borrowed it. Question is: why does one myth get labeled truth while others are dismissed as fables?

That is very true and why it is important to keep presenting facts.

If God is all-powerful and all-knowing, why didn’t he just remove Satan?

Instead, we get a convoluted narrative where God creates a being he knows will rebel, lets him corrupt humanity, and then sacrifices himself to himself to save his creation from his own punishment.

If you were born in Saudi Arabia, you’d likely be Muslim. In India, Hindu. In America, Christian. Religion isn’t the product of divine truth—it’s shaped by culture, geography, and politics. The god you worship says more about where you’re from than what’s true.
