I still don't think I'll do any baking again for a while though. It was a fun one-off but I'll leave it at that.

Maybe next time I have a post-con crisis I'll do something again.

It has taken almost exactly a full week to consume the whole thing but it is finally gone.

In retrospect I am really happy with it. It was a bit too soggy to start but was nice once it had dried out a bit. It looked amazing and was exactly the colours I was hoping for (The brown looks more red irl)

Overall I’m moderately happy with the outcome. I will not bake it again probably because I do not enjoy baking.

It is now complete! My fursona is cake!

In terms of looks I’m super happy with it. The marbling went great.

In terms of taste it’s definitely a bit on the undercooked side. I probably should’ve cooked it in two separate layers and combined them later.

It is now out of the oven and cooling down. Here’s a sneak peek of what it looked like when it went in. (I had a ton of extra batter so I made cupcakes too.)

Also just realising I should probably clean my oven door.

Time to apply heat!

I hate baking. There’s sooo much mess. Now all I can do is wait to see if it will be worth it.

Ingredients acquired. It is time to bake the snep.

I 100% do not have the baking experience to be attempting what I have in mind but I’m trying it anyway. Let us see how far my hubris takes me this time.

No, I do not know how to bake cakes. Yes, this is just me coping with post-con sadness. But I’m doing it anyway just you watch!

Just got back from #scotiacon. Feeling the blues already. It was possibly the first time in maybe 6 years that my social anxiety has not been deafeningly loud and taken a backseat so I was able to see and experience things I thought I’d never be able to do.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my first time here at #scotiacon it’s that I neeeed a fursuit. I want to be snep so bad.

Just completed my first full day at a furcon and it’s so cool man.
Being the dictionary definition of introvert, I didn’t think I’d get *this much* happiness out of being around thousands of people but I’ve almost been reduced to tears of joy at least 3 times today.

Attending my first ever furcon this weekend and I am very excited!
I’ve seen so many colourful animals already. This community makes me so happy.

The view from the top was great, although it was flying ant day so it was completely swarmed and I couldn’t stay up there long. I wonder if they had the same problem back in the 13th century.

Also unrelated but there was a steam railway there run by a super friendly retired mechanic.

Launceston is so cool. It stands on this really prominent lone hill.

I was visiting Launceston a few years ago without knowing there was a castle there and I remember getting so excited when we turned a corner and there was this surprise castle. Made for a great impromptu day out.

Well there’s plenty of old chalk figures around here, I pass by 3 just on my way home, so it certainly wasn’t unusual for locals to take care of them. But the fact that it is so old is impressive.
I wonder how many were not maintained and have since been lost to time.

I love how the horse needs to have chalk reapplied every year or it’ll start to disappear. It’s not like stonehenge or something that will last pretty much forever, the horse requires frequent maintenance.
I think it’s cool that for thousands of years people have continuously actively preserved it.

..I say as my entire digestive system starts plotting the inevitable desecration of what would otherwise have been a pleasant evening.

Having an uncommon food intolerance is the worst because I’ll just be eating an unassuming packet of crisps and I’ll randomly check the label only to notice it has something I can’t eat and I am about to regret it.
