🔹 Professional Informatics Literacy: You cannot oversee what you do not understand. We advocate for a "Harmonised Competence Framework" to ensure that "human oversight" of AI (as required by the AI Act) is based on actual informatics expertise, not just intuition.
We have recently formulated our official Recommendations for the European Commission’s Digital Omnibus Package. Our goal is to ensure that as Europe simplifies its digital laws, it does not sacrifice technical integrity or scientific sovereignty.
What we are calling for:
a side-task for non-experts, rather than the mission-critical engineering disciplines they are.
