And yes, that is basically the crux of the Jefferson Bible. But I’m sure you can make a pretty good moral text out of ‘War and Peace’ if you pick and choose what you like. The difference is that ‘Pierrians’ wouldn’t have the weight to move public policy or forgo taxation.
