Well so far so good! And I've been pretty strictly instructed with getting the game tomorrow so, yeah, I think she'll be fine :D It's super fun to be a passenger on that one and see her engage with turn based gameplay for the first time. :)

Daughter crammed 7 hours into the demo, and it's her first RPG, so it's got that going for it :D

The goal is not so much to go completely offline but to be more intentional about my usage of tech, and I'm realizing how little I really need it since I started working more on paper, then moving away from streaming services, etc. And it feels really nice.

Even I'm finding my own picture pedantic, and slightly hypocritical since I'm bragging about being offline... on social media, but in truth, I'm going down that very, offline path at the moment, less phone, less social media, less online in general, and it does wonders to my broken ass brain.

Streets of Discontentment

I've got a couple of radio recordings and lives too. That's suuuuper cool

The thing is, the labeled discs are generally albums, so far, but most of the ones I've gotten are unlabeled, which seems to suggest that they're custom mixtapes, and those range wide, as far as I can tell! :D It's super fun!

So far I've gotten a good bit of early 00s jpop (Amuro Namie,...) and some Nagoya kei / punkish stuff (Psychonation,...). Wild range :D

It really is, if you're into the idea of not quite knowing what you're getting :D

Current rabbit hole: buying used minidiscs in bulk from Japan.
Get to (re)discover random Japanese music from the early 00s and older. ❤️
