The only one I can think of is Apocalypse now was better than the Joseph Conrad novella Heart of Darkness, but to be fair, it was only inspired by the book & not a true adaptation.

How can it be called democracy if the political parties represent themselves & their donors instead of the constituents. This is even more exacerbated by the fact that they never do anything they promised to do on their manifesto.

Am I alone in thinking this way?

If a leader is hateful, angry, & aggressive. Then so will both their supporters & their opponents. A leader is meant to unite the population; not divide it to the point of civil war. Politicians of different persuasions need to learn how to work together & not promote conflict.😎

Something I’ve learned since becoming #Blind:
True ugliness is not a visual construct. People can be distracted by the visual world & take what they see for granted, ignoring all other senses. Don’t be distracted by visual aesthetics. True ugliness is in a person’s behaviour 😎

People who generalise are the problem. We’re all individuals! We don’t all behave the same way, as any of the other individuals you choose to categorise us with. Stereotypes & categorisation is the birthplace of prejudice & all the isms.
If you don’t get that; you’re the problem.

It’s all hard when pain is high.
I’m still caught out a lot by folk who are just building following for sales & those who are inaccessible. I still find scrolling feeds with screen reader time consuming enough without adverts & no alt-text

I always check out the bios & content of those who follow me as there’s a lot of cool people out there. I also check if they’re posting inaccessible images. As a blind person, I feel at least I should communicate that to them. Many just don’t know about alt-text or its importance to blind people.

Being blind I don’t follow back inaccessible folk either but I’ve not been followed by over twice as many accessible folk as inaccessible folk. I also communicate with them as lack of understanding isn’tnecessarily ignorance if you get my drift. However as you probably know, some most definitely is.

Exactly, that’s what it’s all about for me too. It’s about connections & exchanging thoughts, experiences, & knowledge. 😎
