Getting ready for single cell sequencing!

Yesterday we had training on the Chromium GEM-X device from @10xgenomics.bsky.social that we recently set up in our lab.

Excited to apply this fascinating technology in our future projects and collabs on hepatitis E virus infection!

This 🕷️ tick-borne RNA virus can infect humans, but little is known about transmission and natural hosts. Saskia and team could show that 12/13 serum pools from the three geographical regions and 87.1 % of tested horses in Germany were positive for ALSV antibodies, indicating previous infections!
