How do we feel about chapter titles? They seem less common these days, and I kind of miss them.

I’m not talking about dropping the name of the protagonist for books with more than one, but an actual word or phrase to sum up the chapter you’re about to read.

Yea or nay?

That mingled pride and disappointment of adding the *perfect* sentence only to discover that you’ve already written it in the next paragraph

Poem: Denied Why is it so difficult To write the thing I need to say When all else comes so easily, As if my muse says, “not today!” For months and months, this page sat blank, Awaiting just one simple song, A poem that has held me back For much too long, for much too long. Will it be the day, today? Will I write it finally? Or will the muses leave me dry, Again deny those thoughts to me?

Today’s poem is brought to you by my continued inability to write a very specific poem I need for my current book:

I don’t have a cat, so I can’t do The Thing, but here’s my buddy, Gage, curled up next to me this morning.

I like 45min on, 15min off poms, with the 15mins used either to keep up with socials or do something mindful, like drink a cup of tea.
