Claudia Badell wrote an article on the Holistic Testing Model- definitely worth a read. qadrive.com/blog/holisti...
If this tweaks your interest and you'd like more information, Lisa Crispin and I have a book about it available on LeanPub and Amazon. You can find more on our website agiletester.ca/

What Did This Viral Agile Diagram’s Story Miss Out?
YouTube video by RiverGlide TV What Did This Viral Agile Diagram’s Story Miss Out?

Why the story of the viral skateboard-to-car, agile in a nutshell, image needs an unhappy ending...

You’ve probably seen Henrik Kniberg's skateboard-to-car sketch a thousand times. But, not with this version of the story behind it...

Our youngest grandchild has recently been doing something similar and our daughter was complaining about it ... We just replied "Payback!"

I ask that often - when I am 'forced' to use a phone app for something. The 1rst time was many years ago in London when the phone app seemed to be the only way to pay for street parking. Someone said to me - if they don't have a phone, they likely don't have a car. Talk about huge assumptions.

I've had too many times where I've watched the phone not scan... I too print my tickets as backup based on years of experience.

For sure I miss friends I made, but I do keep in touch with many through social media and video calls. I haven't completely "retired". But, I no longer teach or consult, or travel to conferences. And that feels right to me.

"Work to live" vs "Live to work". I really don't miss working full time anymore. I am enjoying having time doing my projects without having to fit them into my schedule. But retirement without a plan isn't a good thing.

15 years in QA taught me this:

The best testing prevents bugs, not just finds them.

Quality isn't a phase - it's a mindset that shapes every step of development.

I'm sad that you don't think a book on testing might help them 🀣 That said in jest, but in truth, they really do need to understand - @lisacrispin.bsky.social and I wrote Agile Testing Condensed and later Holistic Testing to help all roles to understand how testing fits in.

26.06.2025 14:09 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

You mean it should be automatic? Yes, I agree and I know many programmers who develop their code that way. Unfortunately, it is not all.

Some people still tell us they don't want to do testing because they see it as a "low-level task". What do you think? @janetgregoryca.bsky.social and I share our thoughts on our @agiletfellow.bsky.social blog: agiletestingfellow.com/blog/post/te...
