I'm sad that you don't think a book on testing might help them 🤣 That said in jest, but in truth, they really do need to understand - @lisacrispin.bsky.social and I wrote Agile Testing Condensed and later Holistic Testing to help all roles to understand how testing fits in.

You mean it should be automatic? Yes, I agree and I know many programmers who develop their code that way. Unfortunately, it is not all.

Feed it by playing. By making. By experimenting. By taking an idea for a walk. By taking a walk. By reading. By talking with people. By listening. By being bored.

But feed it. Imagination is excellent.
