WisDems assigns me to routes on the isthmus and the near east side -- Schimel's canvassers had beaten me to the isthmus doors on Saturday; there must be some mixed Democrat/independent/Republican-registered households in the neighborhood.

Just canvassed a neighborhood where Brad Schimel's canvassers had already beat me to it. Some residents were grumpy about repeated door knocks in one day. Chat with your loved ones about their plan to vote on April 1st! Sometimes they just aren't in a mindset to think about it with us at their door.

As the waves of executive orders and proposed bills wash over us, we do not have to run for shore and bury our heads in the sand. Instead, we can face the waves with our eyes open. We can dive in to those that appeal to us, paddle our hearts out, and then rest before catching the next wave.

We the people overfilled the room during the public hearings for Assembly Bills 100 and 103. What a wonderful sight to see so many Wisconsinites ready to explain to our legislators why these policies would harm all students in our state, most especially our trans and nonbinary students.
