There’s a lot of dyers polypore where I live, I know that one’s UV reactive! Not sure about this one, though — I’ll have to test it out later.

I get really excited anytime I get a natural dye that turns something other than, like, beige 😂

Yes! It also pairs nicely with some other little skeins I had lying around dyed with a different mushroom, dyer’s polypore. Slowly building out a rainbow!

They have a different sin than their red delicious brethren, but in both cases, we would all be eating much better apples if they were shunned…

The correct answer here is HONEYCRISP APPLES because apple farmers despise them, they require a ton more pesticides & fungicides to grown than other apple varieties, they’re expensive, and we could be eating soooo many other delicious apples right now if we were free from the honeycrisp stranglehold
