I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"

People feel pressured to make their characters act like role models or educators rather than letting them breathe.

Don’t write for people who need the characters to be like that; write for folks smart enough to not need it.

It’s admittedly a very indulgent idea — I like the idea of starscourge being akin to radiation, and a subplot of Ignis (who must consume human flesh as part of his pact with Ifrit) not being able to due to the meat being tainted.

I'll say it again, Art is communication.

"Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

Roxas is just too perfect for it!

I definitely need to tweak a lot — for one, I don’t write in 1st person like I used to — but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t the lingering fic that I wanted to explore again.

6) I like the idea of Lucian magic transferring via blood-drinking…. and sex. Cue an excuse to write about Noctis drinking his father’s blood and sleeping with him. The key visual is him straddling his father as he drinks, grinding against him without realizing it.

5) I’m exploring some elements of it in my FTH till, but I want to have a full fic where Ignis and Prompto are horrible comrades in their respective disorders — and hiding it from Noctis.

I love the idea of Ignis being more casual online when his image isn’t at stake — abuse of emojis, you name it.

4) I wanna make a second attempt at the asylum Axel/Roxas fic, wherein Roxas is institutionalized after a suicide attempt. I think I’d lean more into the trauma of the incestuous CSA and be able to explore the themes more skillfully than I attempted at the ripe age of 16, lmfao.

3) I want to continue Der Rattenfänger from the POV of Ignis — what Noctis sees in his dreamlike world is the work of an ancient being that feeds on the pain of the lovelorn.

Hunters jokingly call it the divorce daemon because it often ensnares men in loveless marriages or having an affair.

2) I’m working on a James-centric SH2 fic that ties together themes of sexual repression and his self-destructive leanings, how they’re not so separate from one another.

1) I have a crossover between FFXV and Fallout 4, wherein the boys get locked in the crystal when Niflheim destroys Insomnia and locked in it for over 200 years. Plotted but not written.
