defiantly translating all instances of 撃墜 as "shot down" no matter how silly it sounds, since I believe this to be Objectively Correct

smitten ultimately is a form of smite so it TECHNICALLY works as the past participle but it normally means this yeah

smote means what you think of with smite meanwhile
