PSA about “Add to OneDrive” versus Sync | This is not new, but bubbles up consistently with customers – so, sharing as a Public (OneDrive) Service Announcement. According to Microsoft, the long‑term direction is to replace the Sync button with “Add to OneDrive” aka “Add shortcut to OneDrive.” Know this - let it sync in. Then try it out - you can add a shortcut, then remove it; no harm, no foul. Tell your friends (incl. your IT department). Ultimately… consider turning off OneDrive sync for SharePoint document libraries AND adopting “Add to OneDrive” as the way forward.
