Had to work yesterday & one of my patients was sad they had to be in the hospital & not out there protesting. I let them know we were there in spirit & would protest in solidarity from their hospital room!

It’s an interior door that’s between the garage and laundry room. They would have to break in through the metal garage door (no other door or windows) so I’m not too concerned as there would be much easier ways to break in 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been out of my meds for months (need to make a dr appointment) but randomly found an old script bottle in my back pack w/like 5 in there. Took one today and have got SO much done!!!! Like I’m unstoppable. Tmw I will take another and make my stupid dr appointment 🤣

Just got done picking the deadbolt to my garage inner door. Had it switched to keep the kids out of garage when they were little. Somehow it got locked. Clicker is missing. Key wasn’t working. Hubby had a lock pick set (bought & abandoned as an ADHD hobby)

I got it opened & switched lock around!!!

I need all the good vibes. I have a cracked tooth, it hurts a lot. I haven’t been to the dentist in way too long d/t no insurance and MASSIVE dental anxiety. I haven’t been to an appointment for this afternoon. Am about to crash out 😟

Well 3 days into starting kindergarten and my little Petri dish has brought home some form of viral URI 🤧😷 now everyone but my 8th grader has it (weirdly enough he is my diabetic kid & never gets sick). Kinder girl even went to 2 yrs of pre-K before this so WHY???😭

if your cat or dog, or bunny gets into meds, or methadone, or suboxone, you can use narcan to get them breathing again, and then bring them to the emergency veterinarian immediately.

Just got home from a 13+ hr shift. No time for lunch & had to stay late to finish charting. I haven’t had a shift that whooped my ass like that in awhile.

Oh, that was SO me during my informatics course.

What helps me is that I write the introduction and the conclusion at the same time, then it’s just filling in the middle bits. Each sub topic gets 3-5 paragraphs: a mini intro & conclusion & info in the middle. And repeat

4 days to procrastinate writing the paper and an hour to actually get it done, submitted at the very last minute. Or is that only me 🤣

Just had a Mother’s Day breakfast at my daughter’s preschool. These questionnaires always make me laugh (Taco Bell is her fave 🤣). That last one though…. 🥰

My mother!!! They smelled her grilling & she ended up feeding them all. Italian moms feed everyone, I swear 🤣😂

I’m super tempted to just take a scalpel to relieve some of the pressure, but I can’t get the best angle & my husband is too much of a chicken to do it for me. My 9 yr old offered but I’m not quite there yet 😫🤣

My husband had only a rolly chair for most of ours 1st labor (over 24+ hours). We went on to have 3 more, so this guy’s theory is bullshit!

I have an infected ingrown toenail on my big toe and it is fucking PAINFUL! 😖 had to call out of work bc standing hurts. Like, I had an unmedicated labor & can handle pain, but wtf is this!!!

Already doing soaks & Bactroban, but I’m tempted to go to UC for “toe pain”

One thing I really appreciated was they didn’t shit on floor nurses when talking about having to board patients.

Just finished #ThePitt and whew, I feel like I can finally take a breath. The genuine respect they have for HCWs really conveys through the screen & I hope they never lose that.

So… my blood work resulted and I beat my old record. My TSH was 95.6! 😬 my pituitary gland just out there beating my thyroid with a stick, begging it to just do something! T4 obviously low but not as bad as I thought it’d be, considering.

If you are in a city that does Drunk Shakespeare I HIGHLY recommend going to a show. Went to a showing of Macbeth tonight (surprise date night from the husband). It felt a bit like a fever dream but in the BEST way!

I finally went & got blood work & dr visit today. I’ve been too exhausted to do it so far & been out of my thyroid meds for almost 2 months, but in order to not be a zombie need my meds…
