A mantra I share with movement leaders in Kenya all the time “don’t fight your allies with the same intensity that you fight your enemies”. People are gonna fight - it’s human nature. But fight your allies fair and leave the door open to reconciliation.

Trump’s Pay-to-Pardon Scheme
Last year, lobbying firms raked in over $5 million from clients hoping to secure a pardon from Trump.
Turns out his pay-to-pardon scheme is quite lucrative. Watch. https://youtu.be/NflcWXdV-B0?si=0fAnSic2HAFVRmfN

Every time a woman runs for president I hear that she’s too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet

Here in Illinois, we honor the powerful women who paved the way for our state.
Unlike Trump, we see their strength — and we're proud of it.
On International Women’s Day and every day, we recognize that all of us have a better future when everyone reaches their full potential.

remember on international women’s day to also celebrate the women who don’t get credit for their work, aren’t respected as people because they aren’t “hot”, and trans-women who constantly have to fight for their identity and place.

it really is just stunningly on the nose that the opening salvo to Trump’s supposed war
of liberation in Iran began with bombing a girl’s school.
if you put that in fiction people would dismiss it as being too maudlin and heavy-handed, and yet this kind of thing just keeps actually happening.

It’s a huge engineering risk, difficult to reverse — and an indicator the Kuwaitis don’t see choke points improving anytime soon.

Sunlit woodland bank covered in bright green moss (a bryophyte). Fox-tail Feather-moss (Thamnobryum alopecurum) forms lush draping growth over a sloping bank at the base of a tree, the shoots rising and branching like tiny green trees or soft fox-tail plumes. Nearby a Hart’s-tongue fern (Asplenium scolopendrium) grows with long strap-shaped fronds. Winter sunlight filters through bare woodland branches in the background.
The woods were so beautiful today...

I used to be shocked at how much friendlier Americans are to strangers than Indians before I realised that people in this country are starving for friendships and contact. It's why you ask a perfect stranger in Seattle how they're doing and 5 min later you have their whole life story vs a "fine"
