Says his agent. Let’s see if he feels that way in September. But they won’t just sell him for lower than they think he’s worth without a replacement. At the moment they have no other main striker.

You’re right to say that an unhappy player is not helpful and if this was June it may be different. Like I say, dealing mid-July would have been better. Now it would be really difficult to recover.
An unhappy Isak is better than no striker. If they sell Isak, they have no striker.

The striker to replace Isak has to be of a certain level & they missed out on Sesko. It’s easier, even now, to keep him and reintegrate.

They’ve tried and failed to sign replacements. They shouldn’t be forced to sell if it makes them weaker. He signed a contract and should (and will, I think) honour it.

Yes it can. They wanted him last year, didn’t move for him earlier this summer as part of a change of approach aiming to sign more proven players, then re-evaluated (changed back) and signed him.

#NUFC keen on Samu Aghehowa. Spoken about him on the pod this summer; stylistically, perfect fit. Great profile, but IMO more of a risk than even Sesko & Ekitike & in similar price bracket.

His first season definitely showed something. Fell off last year but who didn’t? Hung out to dry after being bought for far too much. Lots of what he did at Atalanta was great too and why NUFC tracked him.

The #MUFC bound striker was the last viable Isak successor. Everyone else is fraught with risk or not a good fit.
#LFC won’t likely pay £150m either. There’s no way #NUFC win Isak is sold.
