I think it’s pretty clear that the Moore era at Mizzou is done. The DCs in this league could call Mizzou’s games at this point. But Drink will be able to shop in a much better aisle of the OC store than he could in 2022.

In 2022 Drink needed a new OC, and Kirby Moore was about the best he could get. Remember, his tenure was not secure and the guy he gave the headset to in Nov 2022 had just walked.

He’s working on the margins. He’s built a top-20 floor, has awesome university alignment, new stadium, NIL commitment.

I think 2022 off-season Drink realized the program had plateaued and knew he had to make changes. He got even more aggressive getting P5 starters in the portal, and gave up play calling. Now it’s time to address the next plateau: hire a next level OC, address ST.
