This evening I attended the Guadalupe Democrat banquet where I met with multiple voters, shook hands with Ron Nirenberg, and enjoyed a speech by Gene Wu. Jobs, Inflation, and Democracy were the topics of the evening. Keep up the good fight, everyone. We're going to beat this.

I understand your concerns, and I've spoken with several Republicans over the past couple of weeks. They, too, are concerned about gerrymandering. There is no winning the state's planned, new District 35 without appealing to Republican voters.

I'm trying to defend our Democracy by pointing out to Republicans in Texas that they will be silencing their counterparts in California in an effort to silence their fellow Texans. Obviously, if Abbott opts to gerrymander Texas, California will have no choice but to follow.

There was a huge turnout for the protest in Austin today. Not only would gerrymandering hurt Democrats and Independents in Texas and Republicans and Independents in California, but it also goes against the spirit of our Republic. Contact your representatives today.
