What is the best game for young kids you ever played?

For me either Monza, or Quest Kids.

You know what I would like as a board game? My First Mage Knight.

Just a version of Mage Knight I can do with the kids.

As a core MtG fan of some 20 years I have to say universes beyond is a huge turn off.

A ball has come over our fence in the darkness of early evening and nobody saw it until this morning.

Don't make it beautiful, or profound. Don't try and be clever or anything. It is just for you so it doesn't matter what you write in it or if it looks like a turd.

You don't even need to be able to read it again, really.

Then write a little note to yourself every day.

That's it. That's what I do.

Get yourself a little notebook as a treat.

Not a nice one, a cheap crap one. One that you won't worry about not keeping it ice or making a mess of it.

Get a cheap pen you don't mind losing or breaking.

Then just jot a little note down each day. Doesn't matter what, just a little note to yourself.

I am still to find any tech that has had such a profound positive impact on me as just writing a few lines in a journal each day.

No numbers to measure my goals, just little notes about what I have, and have not done, and what I intend to do.

Just a little notebook.

The thing I have found about technology that tracks habits is that it will tell you exactly how bad you are doing at what you want to track, demotivate you because it quantified you underperformance, and as a result doesn't help you improve.

You know as well as I do that any problems a computer has are never fixed, just temporarily misplaced.

This is the most nice of books. A book about a very specific niche, in a specific niche of magic.

I can't remember the last time it happened. There has to be a trade off.

I slept a whole night last night!

No getting up to pee, no kids waking me up for something, no just waking up for no reason and never dropping off again.

I just went to bed, slept, and woke up at a reasonable hour refreshed.

What witchcraft is this? I feel like I have been reverse cursed.

As someone who has two small people who like to get their fingers into everything I hate it when games have a big thing like this.

Not just because gimmick, but because it will get completely broken withing seconds of breaching the threshold of my house and render the game almost unplayable.

Battle Fleet Gothic, but Crokinole.

40k, but lawn bowls.

Age of sigmar, but pool.

Pool as a wargame.

Place all scenery on the table.
Set your colour balls up at your end.
Each player takes it in turns to hit all of their balls once.
Remove all opposing balls from table.

White ball not needed

Instead of dice rolls you have breaks.

And once all the balls are in the game ends.

Both a resolution mechanic and a clock.
