Fair enough!

I had to get over rejecting various foods because of how they looked - fried eggs being a good example - but it was worth the effort. Oat "milk" lasts for ages and even if you don't use much, it'll keep. You can use it in pretty much any situation where you'd use milk, too.

Have you tried one of the non-milk "milks"? I've been on the oat version for about three years and don't miss the dairy version. I've just started having it in coffee (I never drink tea, and I always drank black coffee) and it tastes great. Oat is the best from an environmental perspective, too.

I won't hold my breath, then.

Tell 'em to get a move on - I'm not getting any younger. (Unless the space/time continuum is malleable?)

People complain about the time on other people's microwaves not being correct? Seriously? The very essence of a first world problem. Let them deal with their angst.

Yes, that would be interesting! I remember overhearing a Canadian tourist at Bala (our Bala!) suggesting that their next stop would be Dolgellau, or Dolegalaw, as he pronounced it. Not a bad stab, all things considered.

I'm always on the lookout for god photo books, and I was lucky & pleased to find this in the shop at the Storiel gallery in Bangor today. The Welsh term "Dolenni Hud" translates approximately to "magic links", and the book documents American places with Welsh links or names. A snip at £2!

Just signed up for the @photonorthfestival.bsky.social in Leeds, March 13-15. I haven't been to Leeds for maybe 45+ years, so it'll be good to see how the city has changed. Lots of photo opportunities, I'm sure.

I doubt that you could get a thermometer that can measure 150 million degrees C at your local branch of Boots, or anywhere else for that matter, so how do we know they're not just bullshitting us?

Originality is a very difficult thing to achieve & more so as time goes by. Even if you've never seen other, better-known, photographers' work, you can bet that whatever you try to do has been done
before. The best many of us can do is follow our instincts & apply whatever skills we've learned.

Influence is a very hard thing to pin down. At it's most extreme, I guess it would be out and out plagiarism, but it could equally be subconscious. Maybe it's a sort of /a priori/ thing that we are vaguely aware of, but can't quite nail down.
