Yes, a lot of what they do is great from a client perspective! I've found it a pretty good experience for requesting commissions.

There are plenty of non-anime artists on VGen, but you have to jump through hoops to create an artist account, and then to get verified, so you'd have to decide if it's worth that.

Speaking as a comic reader, we don't care if scenes are not exactly architecturally correct. The story is what's most important, and sometimes the background even bends and melts when emotions are high enough.

Happy Birthday, Kiki! Kuro Shouri is a fantasy comic that has been produced for years, so much that it's at chapter 70 with more than 1400 pages! It's not that hard to catch up, though, just takes time. I've gotten to chapter 35 myself. Some funny scenes, and some more serious.

I don't contribute to Kickstarters, so won't try to talk you into that. 🙂 If you want confidence, though, you can make something low-budget, put it on YouTube, and see if there's interest.

You got me curious, so I browsed a few studies. Most of them are about aphantasia causing depression, rather than the other way around (it's difficult in psych studies to determine which condition causes the other). If depression is surfacing bad images, though, I can imagine the brain trying...

You can do that in a non-annoying way by saving the URLs of all your posts, then make a new post and use the "+" at the bottom to add to it. Repeat for all ArtFight posts, and then post them all at once at the end. Then people who are actively reading will only see the chain once, in full.

It depends on where you live, because it costs more for most things to recycle them than throw them in the landfill. You can look for local resources to see if there is someone who will take them. Electronics recyclers often know who does other kinds of recycling.

Or just post one a day for 352 days.
