So I’d say you probably want to start with every other day and then go from there.

I have thin hair as well, and I have to make sure the products I use arent too heavy and oily, or it will quickly make my hair look like a greaser super quickly 😂

I think it’s one of those things that you have to work up to. Scientifically, if you’re washing your hair every day, your sebaceous glands on your scalp are working extra hard to replenish the natural oils and keep your skin from being dry. So it may take a bit for them to not overproduce oil.

I really don’t like greasy hair or body odor though, so regardless of sweat.. if the hair starts to get greasy or I smell any hint of B.O, that’s when I force myself to shower. I think personal hygiene is different for everyone. As long as your hygiene doesn’t negatively impact others, you do you!

My less frequent hair washing is less of an active choice than it is due to crippling body dysmorphia. That being said, if I do rigorous exercise I always shower. If it’s multiple days in a row and I just shampooed the day before I’ll just rinse my hair and not shampoo again, to avoid drying it out.

I’m not sure I’ve ever wished so much to look like a certain celebrity. I try not to obsess too much over my body dysmorphia (but alas I’m human and NB). I was watching Wayward.. Mae Martin struck my eyeballs and I will never be the same. They are exactly how I picture myself in my own head. IT ME.

I love video games in particular because they engage so much of my brain that I have to pay more attention to them that the stress has to take a back seat for a minute.

How do you deal with stress? Feel the weight of the world on your chest. Take shallow breaths. Barely speak. Choke out the words you have to say. Then rest.
