Trump thugs are killing, brutalizing, and torturing American citizens. That is not an “immigration crackdown.” It’s domestic repression and occupation.

What’s the best way to make ICE accountable when they are given such free reign by the powers that be?

100% agree. I can’t believe they don’t call him out about it. Also why is listening to constant lies considered access? Thanks for speaking out.

The president is a political cartoon of corruption come to life, a gaudy grifter who is selling off pardons and lining his pockets, building a golden ballroom and protecting his fellow sex predator elites, all the while regular Americans are suffering and struggling to make ends meet.

Run on *that*

Caroline Thomson is so right about this: BBC self scrutiny over its editorial standards sets it apart. And imho makes it a completely different beast from most American broadcasters.

Wow so Michael Prescott got upset that the BBC didn’t come down as hard on Kamala Harris as on Trump who LED AN INSURRECTION. Strange understanding of balance for someone who should know better.

Who else should they be calling up to speak? Prescott has had so much publicity already...give others a chance!

A Battle with My Blood When I was diagnosed with leukemia, my first thought was that this couldn’t be happening to me, to my family.

In the middle of Tatiana Schlossberg’ heartbreaking account of dying from cancer as a young woman is a lacerating indictment of her cousin RFK’s horrific impact.

I feel as though not enough is being made of a president who wants to send troops into a state because he saw old clips of something on TV, thought it was happening IRL, and then said he was confused about it.

my favorite robert redford story is that mike nichols considered him for dustin hoffman's part in THE GRADUATE. during their conversation nichols asked redford something like, "have you ever struck out with a girl?" and redford's response was basically, "i don't understand the question"

Love this breaking of the fourth wall in Charlie Russell’s affectionate and moving portrait of neurosurgeon Henry Marsh. Noticed Geoffrey Smith was the first person thanked, no doubt for the copious use of archive from his masterful film about Marsh, The English Surgeon

Republicans could’ve spent this year trying to tackle any number of problems facing Americans. Instead, they’ve spent the past five months crafting a giant tax break for rich people that also leaves working families worse off. That’s backwards.
