I think it depends on where physically you view it from.

If it's like a massive structure/series of builds like a megabase from Hermitcraft, I think having some texture variance makes sense.

If it's a small house or something, a limited block palette makes WAY more sense.

You can have a thoroughly-reasoned statement advocating for selflessness and empathetic thinking and somehow that's considered unreasonable to the point of significant downvotes/thumbs-downs.

And by "reasonable implementation" I mean stuff that helps the artist achieve their specific vision rather than replace said vision.

I recall seeing an AI tool for animation to help with colouring frames based on one coloured frame. That's helpful as hell and doesn't snuff out the original intent.

I feel like this goes without saying, but generative AI sucks.

I dislike that when I see art that's smooth and detailed, my first reaction is skepticism instead of awe.

I can't wait for gen AI to crash and to have more reasonable implementations of AI take its place instead.

"No one is angry about games not containing gen AI" is such a hell of a good point. It is incredibly off-putting to many customers, an absolute deal-breaker, yet there is no flip side to that, no consumer base clamouring for it, no demand. They can only try to wear people down into accepting it.

I do quite like this idea because I feel robotic as I am, very much just built on internal logic and a stubborn penchant for literalism

That and also it does open the doors somewhat more for the usual kinda stuff that I do anyways (expansion lul), just in a more interesting flavour

I think said combat mode would be like, what it actually looks like without the additional presentation to mimic the original form (i.e. me currently)

Was definitely thinking of taking inspiration from the range of colours steel can have based on its tempering temperature

Able to inhabit techology, either like taking over it as a new body (so like, from one of those blinky bot things to a more standard robot body) or like a desktop buddy

I think also having it be tuned into emotional state seems neato? Mostly just anger/stress leading into a "combat mode" of sorts
