If anything, I feel MORE let down by Bluesky dropping the ball on this, because at first it felt SO GOOD. Twitter is a shitshow, but it’s not trying to be anything else.

This felt like community, and it’s disappointing to see that its not being protected.

The fact that the team can't simply say "We know we fucked up, we know that antiblackness led to this fuckup, we are going to sit down with some of the Black users here, come up with a public and transparent game plan to address the harms and reduce risks going forward..." is WILD to me. It's simple

And like clockwork other marginalized groups are being hit.

Bluesky team this app will become a dumpster fire just like Twitter if you don't openly support BIPOC and LGBTQ while also having a zero tolerance policy for bigotry.

You are confusing decentralization and censorship. You can have moderation while still being decentralized. Come on y'all.
