Mamdani is right: Democrats abandoned working class Americans. His success is due to recognizing this and refocusing on that.

05.11.2025 18:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs unfortunate this is the best Dems had as a pushback to what Reps have been doing for several election cycles already.
Still, I voted for it. π€·ββοΈ
Has Pizzagate been mentioned? It would be interesting to catch up with the shooter to see what his views are now.
04.11.2025 18:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love/hate finding a new productβ¦.and then it never gets stocked again. π’
30.10.2025 17:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0While I will vote Yes, Iβm disappointed that this is the best one Dem politician can come up with.
Reps have been gerrymandering for several election cycles already. This comes so late.
On a separate note, I am disappointed that Dems have not been able to counter this anti-democratic movement. Itβs not new and Dems are still caught flat footed.
28.10.2025 17:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Could we talk about how a growing number of Americans donβt care about democracy and want a Trump and Republican autocracy?
At some level this experiment has failed a large portion of this country.
One reason is that the right is violent; the threat of and actual use of force is a real deterrent.
23.10.2025 17:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0First time hearing about this but I bet my teenage high school kids know about it. π³
22.10.2025 17:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Back in the 90βs in my Psych undergrad I learned that men tend to have less friends as they grow older. Is that still the case?
I also wonder about how that correlates with men becoming more conservative as they age. π€
How do we pushback or even think of soft secession when we have a very weak Democratic Party? Thatβs our only other choice and itβs not a good one.
07.10.2025 16:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0With all the discussion over the hour, why do we still think weβll have elections next year much less in 3?
06.10.2025 16:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We have to admit to ourselves that as Americans we have become academically lazy.
It seems like thereβs an ever growing population that are barely out of high school.
How do we instill the love of knowledge in our kids?
How do we bridge the ever widening gap of basic scientific knowledge in the US? As a supposedly βfirst world countryβ we seem to be quite behind.
30.09.2025 17:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I appreciate the comment one of the guests had about an olive branch but I feel like Biden and Dems did that to some extent and look at where we are now anyway.
23.09.2025 17:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can the Florida folks talk about the Latino immigrantsβ support for Trump/Republicans in their state and what is their story now with the deportations.
19.09.2025 16:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is the hospital still around? If not whatβs in its place?
What are other SF Bay Area spots he may have been around when he returned?
I canβt see how this country survives with an autocratic GOP and a weak, neutered, dysfunctional, and aloof DNC.
16.09.2025 17:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How do we get Americans to be academically and scientifically knowledgeable again when education has been undermined for decades?
11.09.2025 17:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There should be a psychologist as part of this discussion. We seem to be a very anti-social society yet we are social beings and prefer to find comfort with AI vs another human?
09.09.2025 17:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Japan has had their Shinkansen for about half a century. Why canβt we have good things too?
08.09.2025 17:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, βfight fire with fireβ. But I wouldnβt be surprised that Republicans already have plans to counter this and use it for their purposes.
Why are Dems so late to react? District rigging isnβt new. Dems are like the Internet Explorer of politics.
My takeaway from this show is that if tech is suffering the rest of us not in tech are in real trouble.
I lost my job during the pandemic and havenβt worked a 9-5 in 5 years. I doubt Iβll ever have that type of job again.
I miss the art in records. Specifically, Iron Maiden records in the 80βs had all kind of hidden jokes in their artwork. It was fun to sit around with friends trying to catch them all. That mostly went away with cds and obviously non-existent with digital.
22.08.2025 17:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If this is legitimately coming from the DNC then it comes off as very desperate.
The DNC hasnβt been very effective politically. Giving them more money isnβt going to help us.
For governor, yesβ¦a fighter. Newsom has done a good job of that.
And yesβ¦I am severely disappointed with the Democratic Party overall.
Looks like a practice run. Again, why arenβt Democrats anticipating these moves?
12.08.2025 16:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Donβt the media companies realize theyβre undermining themselves by capitulating to Trump? In the end Trump wins either way.
06.08.2025 17:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Credit due to Trump for his aggressiveness but he also has support from the Republican Party, several major Christian groups, and corporate entities. Itβs not just him.
How can freedom of the press and democracy in general stand up against so much against it?
We shouldnβt but I think Dems have no choice.
It feels like Dems are about 2 decades late in trying to pushback from Reps rigging and I wouldnβt be surprised if Reps have plans to prevent Dems from doing likewise.
Also, why do we think weβll have free elections next year?
